Minister of Tourism in the government of St Kitts and Nevis, Marsha Henderson, hosted a Christmas Toy Drive-Thru in her parliamentary constituency #2, Central Basseterre, on December 17, 2022. The event was a part of the Pre-Christmas celebrations hosted by the various political leaders across the island.
The Minister of Tourism consequently took to her social media on December 25, Christmas Day, to express her gratitude to the people of her constituency. She thanked them for joining the Christmas Drive-Thru.
In the social media post, she expressed her wish to say a warm thank you to all the families of Constituency #2 for their participation in our “Christmas Toy Drive-Thru”, held Saturday, December 17, 2022.
Marsha Henderson commended the dedication and support of her team. Samantha Charles led the said team, Denise Byron-Morris, and the executive of the Branch. She confessed that the support she received from her team was exceptional.
Further, she hoped to thank them for not only organizing but many of them joining the caravan and taking to the streets of Central Basseterre with me to spread good cheer.
Minister Henderson expressed that seeing the joy on the faces of so many boys and girls as they received a Christmas gift and other goodies brought us great pleasure. There was no shortage of warm hugs, music, fun, and laughter. She also exclaimed that Mrs Clause had nothing on me.
Marsha Henderson further wrote in the social media post: Thanks to all the many donors who made this event possible. She extended special thanks to those in St Kitts and Nevis Diaspora, organized by Tracelyn Charles. Although they are many miles away, the Christmas Toys drive-thru attendants felt the outpouring of love and support for the children at home through their generosity.
Minister Marsha Henderson expressed that It was truly a fun and successful day, which they could not accomplish without the collective efforts of everyone involved. She once again expressed her gratitude to the people of Central Basseterre. At the same time, she stated that she looks forward to a wonderful time again next year.
She wished for the people of her constituency to have a wonderful and safe holiday season.
