Marsha Henderson Attends Inter Caribbean Promotion event, delivers address

The minister of Tourism in St Kitts and Nevis, Marsha Henderson recently attended a promotional event for Intercaribbean Flight from Barbados to St Kitts and Nevis. During the promotional event, Minister Henderson was accompanied by the head of the tourism ministry of Barbados, the CEO of St Kitts and Nevis Tourism Authority, the permanent secretary in the ministry of Tourism, et al. in St Kitts and Nevis, among several other important dignitaries.

Minister of Tourism Marsha Henderson delivered brief remarks at the promotional event and thanked Inter Caribbean Airways on behalf of the Prime Minister and the cabinet members. She noted that After years of constant discussion, we are delighted with the partnership we have established between St Kitts and Nevis and inter-Caribbean Airways.

Minister Henderson asserted that the airlines had helped St Kitts and Nevis reconnect to the rest of the Caribbean. They have helped expand the airlift to our beautiful islands, specifically with inter-Caribbean Airways. The new service that has started between St Kitts and Barbados will benefit the stakeholders involved in the tourism industry in St Kitts.

Marsha Henderson asserted that tourism is one of the strongest industries in St Kitts, and they are working on strongly reestablishing the industry. In line with this, she added that “Regional connectivity is Paramount to the success of Tourism” She also noted that in markets across the Caribbean before the covid-19 pandemic, the Caribbean was the second largest tourism market.

She noted that after removing all covid related restrictions, the tourism industry had seen remarkable growth. We are optimistic about a full recovery. Accordingly, she said that a critical component of our tourism rebound Strategy and rebuilding resiliency for the investments in or comparable, expanding it and human capacity development.

She added that If there is one thing that covid has taught us, we must work closely together to expand on expectations. Marsha Henderson noted that we are stronger when we work together. Commencing this new service to St Kitts promotes growth on the island by driving the local economy through the elevation of Tourism arrivals from the region.
