The Deputy Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Geoffrey Hanley, recently took to his social media account to congratulate the Charlestown Primary School athletes for their performance at the Inter Primary Schools Championship 2023. The Track and field competition was in association with Gulf Insurance Limited and the Bank of Nevis International.
The Charlestown Primary School competed with several other schools across the federation and emerged as the best-performing school. The school athletes secured 21 gold, 18 silver and 12 bronze medals for an overall total of 51 medals.
The Deputy Prime Minister, Dr Geoffrey Hanley, who handles the responsibility for the Ministry of Youth Empowerment in the government of St Kitts and Nevis, took to his social media to encourage the athletes for further success in the sports sector of St Kitts and Nevis.
The Gulf Insurance Limited and the Bank of Nevis International hosted the event at Nevis Athletics Stadium on April 6, 2023. The Deputy Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis attended the sports event with several colleagues. He shared that It was indeed exciting to witness the Nevis Annual Gulf Insurance Limited & Bank of Nevis International Inter-Primary Schools’ Championship 2023 yesterday with my colleagues.
He expressed his pride for the youth throughout the federation who are witnessing success in various sports. The country has hosted several sports events in the country. Dr Geoffrey Hanley attended several of these events to extend his support and encouragement to the athletes competing in the various track and field competition in the country.
Dr Geoffrey Hanley accompanied the Minister of Sports in the government of St Kitts and Nevis, Samal Duggins, Minister of Sports, Nevis, Senator Troy Liburd and the director of the Department of Sports in Nevis, Giovanni Claxton. Deputy Prime Minister Geoffrey Hanley shared glimpses of the event on his social media account. He also congratulated all the other competitors and athletes for their respective performances.
Minister of Sports in the government of St Kitts and Nevis also took to his social media to share his experience during his trip to Nevis for the Inter Primary school Championship. He wrote on his social media account that He had an incredible day in Nevis witnessing the Gulf-Boni Inter Primary Championship. He asserted that Our athletes are showing tremendous potential.
