After the conclusion of the historic elections on Friday, results are being awaited for many constituencies. Meanwhile, votes are still being counted for many constituencies.
The supervisor of elections in St Kitts and Nevis publicised the results for Constituency #10 and Constituency #4 sometime back.
The results announcement for constituencies #6, Constituency #7 and Constituency #11 has now been made.
After their win in Constituency #10, The Concerned Citizens Movement scored another win for their cause in the general elections, which came in the form of their candidate from Constituency #11, Alexis Jeffers.
There were a total of two thousand three hundred and seventeen 2,317 valid votes cast in Constituency #11. Alexis Jeffers, who won in a tight battle with his competitor and Nevis Reformation Party candidate Dr Janice Daniel-Hodge, managed to secure a total of one thousand one hundred and seventy-two (1172) votes to beat his competitor, who was almost neck-to-neck with him with a total of one thousand one hundred and thirteen (1113) votes.
St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) also managed to secure another constituency with the re-election of their candidate Dr Denzil Douglas to Constituency #6. Dr Douglas received a total of a thousand nine hundred and twenty-six (1926) votes to secure a landslide victory over his competition in the form of People’s Labour Party Candidate Marc Williams. The PLP candidate managed to secure a total of three hundred and nine (309) votes for their party.
Meanwhile, People’s Action Movement (PAM) candidate Troy Flanders managed to secure ninety-eight (98) votes from the constituency.
Finally, From Constituency #7, Former Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris managed to secure the first victory for his political party in the general elections. The people’s Labour Party (PLP) leader managed to score himself a victory by securing a total of One thousand Two hundred and Sixty-Six (1266) votes to beat his competitors, Lincoln David-Pelle, of the People’s Action Movement (PAM) and Leon Natta-Nelson of the St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP)
PAM candidate Lincoln David-Pelle managed to secure a total of One hundred and seventy-six (176) votes from the constituency; meanwhile, Leon Natta-Nelson of St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) was a close second to the winning candidate who managed to win nine hundred and three (903) votes.
