Friday, August 5, 2022, witnessed a historic day of elections in St Kitts and Nevis. Thousands of registered voters made it to the polling stations to vote for their favourite candidates. Hours after the conclusion of the elections polls in all eleven constituencies, the election results have now started to pour in. In many constituencies, ballots are still left to be opened. Votes are in the process of being counted.
So far, thee elctions results for Constituency #10 and Constituency #4 of St Kitts and Nevis have been announced.
From Constituency #10, (Nevis 10) Concerned Citizens Movement’s (CCM) candidate Eric Evelyn has been re-elected to the constituency. He received a landslide victory with a total of Six Hundred and Sixteen (616) votes against their opponent from the Nevis Reform Party (NRP), Rohan Isles.
From Constituency #4, St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) candidate Samal Duggins has been declared the winner. 2022 was Duggin’s first time contesting from Constituency #4. He managed to secure the victory by an overwhelming margin; He beat his opponents of the People’s Labour Party (PLP) and People’s Action Movement (PAM) with One thousand two hundred and sixty-nine (1,269) votes secured in his vote bank.
People’s Labour Party (PLP) Candidate Kendale Liburd secured a total of two hundred and ninety-three (293) votes. In comparison, People’s Action Movement candidate Lindsey Grant managed to secure seven hundred and sixty-one (761) votes.
Further elections results are still coming in at the moment. SKNLP candidate Geoffery Hanley from Constituency #1 is leading the polls predictions. From Constituency #2, SKNLP is also leading from Constituency #3, Constituency #6 and Constituency #8

The polls remained open through the day on Friday, August 5, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Thousands of St Kittitians and Nevisians flocked the polling station throughout the day to cast their votes for the elections of their favorite candidate. The major political parties and leaders urged the country’s citizens to cast their votes safely and peacefully.
