Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Denzil Douglas, the senior minister of the St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party took to his social media account to extend his congratulations to all the participants of the 2023 edition of the Tourism Youth Congress. he extended his special congratulations to the winner of the contest, Cam-Ronn Audain, new Junior Tourism Minister
He took to his social media account to share some glimpses of the event. The 2023 edition of the Tourism Youth Congress was hosted on Friday, May 12, 2023. The St. Kitts Tourism Youth Congress provides a platform that strengthens the skillsets of our future leaders, providing the opportunity to improve in areas such as public speaking, research development, and rhetoric skills which are undoubtedly instrumental in their personal and professional development.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Denzil Douglas shared that Cam-Ronn Audain of the Washington Archibald High School, amassed 407 points. She was adjudged the winner of the 2023 Tourism Youth Congress and is now appointed as the new Junior Tourism Minister.
Cam-Ronn Audain, the new Junior Tourism Minister will represent St. Kitts in the Regional Tourism Youth Congress that will be held in the Turks and Caicos Islands, later this year. The event is organised by the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO).
Meanwhile, Minister Denzil Douglas shared the further results for the Tourism Youth Congress on his social media account. Accordingly, he also extended his sincere appreciation and congratulations to the various participants and winners of the event.
D’Jaaden Punrod of the Cayon High School, placed second,
Destinee Morris of the Saddlers Secondary School placed third.
Josiah Hodge of the Charles E. Mills Secondary School placed fourth.
Dr Denzil Douglas shared that the Winners and Participants were presented with monetary and other prizes at the end of the competition by Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Tivanna Wharton.
