Officials from the Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU) of St Kitts and Nevis hosted a forum for local service providers on Friday, December 30, 2022. The newly appointed Head of the Citizenship By Investment Unit, Michael Martin, presided over the event to further discuss the new Citizenship by Investment (CBI) Regulations.
The Citizenship by Investment Unit of St Kitts and Nevis has recently announced several changes and transformations to the longest-running CBI Programme. In the words of the CIU Head, Michael Martin, for almost forty years, St Kitts and Nevis remained the pioneer of the global immigration industry. The CBI Programme has helped the country thrive without being overtly dependent on Foreign Aid.
The Citizenship Programme of St Kitts and Nevis is the most trusted CBI programme in the world. The annual CBI Index published by the PWM Magazine of the Financial Times is a testament to the trust. For two consecutive Terms, The CBI Index has ranked the CBI programme of St Kitts and Nevis at the top spot.
The changes and “transformations” announced by the CIU and the government of St Kitts and Nevis were publicized earlier this week. In the revised and revitalized Citizenship By Investment Programme, they included changes in:
- The Management of Citizenship by Investment Unit
- The Sustainable Growth Fund
- The Real Estate Investment Option
- Private Home Sale Investment Option
- Public Good Investment Option (This option will replace the Alternative Investment Option AIO starting January 1, 2023)
–and several other areas of St Kitts and Nevis CBI Programme.
The CIU hosted the forum for the local service providers at the NEMA Conference Room. Attorney-General and Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs, Garth Wilkin was also in attendance at the NEMA Conference room forum and supported the chairman of the panel, CIU head Michael Martin at the event.

Additionally, Operations Manager at CIU, Larry Vaughn and other Unit staff members were also in attendance at the event.
The head of the CIU, Michael Martin, revealed in his first official address that the country is refreshing its citizenship programme. They are working together to enhance the programme so that it continues to be the Benchmark of the global investor immigration industry
