The First Lady of St. Kitts and Nevis represented the federation as well as the wider caribbean region at the 2026 Concordia Annual Summit in New York City. The event was hosted on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA81).

Mrs Drew attended the high level session on “Fostering the Future Together: A Global Commitment to the Next Generation,” which was part of the Summit’s Advancing Human Rights & Social Progress programme.

The wife of the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis was accompanying U.S. Special Envoy for Best Future Generations, Charity Wallace, Sarah Kemp from the Intel Corporation and Elizabeth Pishny from Google.

Collectively, they participated in a discussion which was focussed on strengthening collaboration among governments, private sector and other partners.

The First Lady of St. Kitts and Nevis attended the event to advance plans for hosting the Fostering the Future Together Regional Event in the Caribbean. St. Kitts and Nevis is expected to host an edition of the event in the near future.

During the session, Mrs Diani Drew highlighted the importance of ensuring that young people in Small Island Developing States are included in global conversations on technology, education and development.

The hosting of the event in the Caribbean would provide a platform to address the opportunities and challenges facing Caribbean youth and strengthen regional and international partnerships in support of the next generation.

Mrs. Prince-Drew’s participation at the Concordia Annual Summit has served as a platform for the country to see the voice of St Kitts and Nevis in international discussions centred on creating a more inclusive and promising future for children and young people.
