St Kitts and Nevis recorded 42 new COVID-19 cases

St Kitts and Nevis till present registers 1352 total number of active COVID-19 cases. 613 are active COVID-19 cases out of which 38 are new COVID-19 cases .5 deaths have been noted on island till now.

4 new imported cases have been registered in St Kitts and Nevis. Till now total 33,579 persons have been tested for COVID-19 by the medical teams on island. As the result of the total test 1,352 person have been reported positive, and 32,221 reports negative, but till now 6 test reports are pending.

After receiving the reports 618 people quarantined themselves at their homes, 371 cases have been quarantined at the government facilities. 598 people are under isolation on island. 19,242 have been released from the quarantine. 749 people had recovered till now in St Kitts and Nevis.

According to the recommendations those are released by the health ministry to mitigate the wide spread of COVID-19 virus on the island, the virus starts spreading from the hands so to stop this spreading all should wash their hands with soap or alcohol-based solution.

A person should cover the nose and mouth with the elbow bent or with a tissue while coughing or sneezing to stop the spread of virus in air. After using the tissue dispose it off and was the hand properly. The report said not to touch the nose, face, or mouth and eyes as the virus mainly transmits from these surfaces. While following the social distancing stay at a distance of 6 feet while social interactions. If the person feel unwell he or she should stay at home and inform the medical authorities so that they should come and test you.

PM Timothy Harris had secured an additional 5,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines. These vaccines had an expiration date of August 31, 2021. He was happy to report that these additional doses are already in our possession.
