Mohammad Hasan Akhund was appointed as the new head of the newly formed government. This government is supposed to be the new caretaker of Afghanistan and the citizens of the country.
This decision came yesterday after many days of capturing Afghanistan and settling the Taliban regime on the land. The list was announced by the member of the Taliban and the spokesperson of the group Zabihullah Mujahid. There are no women included in the newly formed cabinet.
Abdul Ghani Baradar, the person who was supposed to head the new government before the official announcement, would play his role as the country’s deputy leader. On the other hand, Sirajuddin Haqqani has been announced as the interior minister of Afghanistan. He is the son of the founder of the “Haqqani Network”.
The defence minister would be Mullah Mohammad Yaqoob, son of Mullah Omar. Ministry of Finance would be head by Hedayatullah Badri, and Amir Khan Muttaqi would be the new foreign minister.
Mujahid, while announcing the new 33 names of the Islamic government, said, “The Islamic Emirate decided to appoint and announce a caretaker cabinet to carry out the necessary government works, and the remaining posts will be announced after careful deliberation.”
In Afghan Capital, Kabul, Mujahid said that this announced government is an elected acting government. Taliban would try to take people from different parts of Afghanistan according to their ability while forming the final government.
The Taliban is ready to announce their new government in few days in Kabul. Before few days Taliban had given invitations to its six partners, after which they were asked to attend the inauguration ceremony.
This step would be the first step towards making good foreign relations with the partners. Some reports point that the Taliban has invited Russia, China, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan and Qatar.
