The joy project has delivered prescription based eye glasses to the children across the island nation. The prescription glasses were provided to the children under the Vision of Joy project which took place in collaboration with Eyes First
The Joy Project, supported by Dr Andrew conducted eye exams on as many as 81 children from across the country. The officials have shared that as many as 50 children were in need of prescription glasses after the Joy Project and Eyes First Project conducted eye exams.
The children were given a hance to be fitted for their prescription glasses free of charge. The joy project was delighted to see the children get fitted for their prescription glasses within two weeks of testing.
The organization has also shared that they were delighted to see several children coming out and actively picking their preferred glasses. The children were seen proudly wearing their glasses and testing on different colors.
The vision of joy project shared a video from the day when the children got their prescription glasses on their social media.
The happiness which can be seen on the faces of the children can be considered a remarkable estimate of the success of the initiative. The officials from the Joy project have shared their gratitude to Dr. Andrew and the entire Eyes First team. They also thanked the other supporters and donors who extended their generosity to ensure the success of the initiative.
The joy project said that it is because of the support of these donors that so many children can see the world more clearly.
The initiative has been taken by Mrs Drew and has drawn applause from several persons in the community including the Prime Minister..
