The St. Christopher Air & Sea Ports Authority has expressed their delight in the inclusion of Port Zante in the itinerary of the MSC World Europa for the 2026-27 tourism season. This is a major development for the cruise and tourism sector of the country.
The CEO of the St. Christopher Air & Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA), Adeola Moore said this os a significant moment for SCASPA’s port operations. At the same time the CEO has assured the public of St Kitts and Nevis that the port infrastructure is ready and able to accommodate for the arrival of the ship.
The infrastructure, SCASPAmarine coordination, and port management systems are fully aligned to safely and efficiently accommodate vessels of this scale said the CEO of SCASPA. The decision of the cruise line to add Port Zante to the World Europa itinerary highlights the capacity of Port Zante. The authorities believe that the port canhandle some of the largest and most advanced cruise ships in the world
At the same time, Port Zante is also capable of delivering a seamless experience for both passengers and stakeholders. The port of St Kitts and Nevis has seen a very successful cruise season in 2025-26. The growth of the island as a preferred cruise destination is believed to be a great deal about the partnerships which the administration has entered into.

The LNG-powered MSC World Europa was built by Chantiers de l’Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, France. The sho[ has a capacity of 6,762 passengers and a crew capacity of 2,138. The ship started its operations for the public and had its first commercial journey the vessel began public operations on December 20, 2022, following its role as a hotel ship during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Doha. It became MSC’s first World-class ship.
Afterwards, the MSC Cruises has expanded the class with the introduction of the MSC World America in 2025, now sailing from Miami. The MSC World Asia is scheduled to debut in December 2026, while the MSC World Atlantic is expected for delivery in 2027 from Port Canaveral.
Each vessel in the World-class series measures over 200,000 gross tonnage (GT) and features more than 2,700 cabins, accommodating approximately 5,400 passengers. The class ranks among the largest cruise ship categories globally, with all ships powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), reflecting MSC’s commitment to more sustainable cruising.
