Greyson Burrell Represents St Kitts and Nevis at St. Barth Mini Bucket Clinic and Regatta 2026

St. Kitts and Nevis, Greyson Burrell, a young sailor represented the twin island at the St. Barth Mini Bucket Clinic and Regatta. The event was eight days long and ran from 10 May to 17 May 2026.

The event was held at the St. Barth Yacht Club which is located on a Public Beach around northwest of Gustavia, the Capital town of St. Barthelemy. The St. Kitts Yacht Club explained the eight days schedule of the event on social media. 

The first four days of the event were dedicated to an international workshop (10 May to 13 May) and the rest four days (14 May to 17 May) consisted of racing events, in which three-hour marathon race was important  and held at the last day of the competition on 17 May 2026

In the competition there were a total 14 participants who represented the following islands: Guadeloupe, Saint Martin, Sint Maarten, St. Kitts and Nevis, and St. Barths.

According to officials, throughout the competition week, Greyson Burrell performed outstanding, along with an encouraging spirit and finished at the 9th position overall in the competition. Notably, it was his first time representing St. Kitts and Nevis at the St. Barth Mini Bucket Clinic and Regatta event. During the regatta events he finished in 6th place and in several other events he secured 7th place.

In the final three-hour marathon event he performed  amazingly and secured the 8th place in the rank tally. His time in the event was 2 hours and 47 minutes. Greyson Burrell also shared his experience from the event, “This regatta taught me a lot about endurance, focus, and competing against strong international sailors. The marathon race was challenging, but I enjoyed pushing myself and learning from the experience. I’m excited to continue improving as I prepare for future competitions.

Additionally, Greyson is also preparing for the upcoming championships which will be held in Canada, United States. The St. Kitts and Nevis Sailing Community also appreciated his performance in the competition. They even mentioned that they felt proud as Greyson represented the twin island across the region.
