Guyana will host the second annual Caribbean Energy Week (CEW) next year in July 2027 at Georgetown. With the support of the President of Guyana, Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali the conference will led by Vickram Bharrat, Minister of Natural Resources.
The Caribbean Energy Week will bring together regional governments, international energy companies and investors. The event being hosted at Guyana reflects the island’s prominence in the energy sector.
In 2027 the theme of the Caribbean Energy Week (CEW) is “Unlocking the Caribbean Energy Corridor: Oil, Gas, LNG & Investment for a New Global Hub”. In CEW 2027 the discussions will touch on topics like transforming the Caribbean fragmented markets to an integrated one and focus on making a globally competitive energy corridor.
The main goal of the CEW is to grow cross border collaboration, infrastructure development and increased investment on capital flows across the oil, gas and LNG industries.
The 2027 Caribbean Energy Week will be organized by Energy Capital & Power. James Chester, CEO of Energy Capital & Power shared the goal of the Caribbean Energy Week 2027, he said, “ Caribbean Energy Week 2027 is about connecting those opportunities- bringing together governments, operators and investors to unlock a truly integrated energy corridor that can compete on the global stage”.
Moreover, for next year the conference is working on expanding industry in both scale and impact and will offer a platform for project showcase, strategic dialogue and investment engagement. According to officials across the world there is a global demand for diversified energy supply which is increasing and the Caribbean region will become more important over time in the global energy market.
In 2026 the Caribbean Energy Week was held from 30 March to 1 April in Paramaribo, Suriname at the Royal Toriarica Hotel. The conference was attended by 400 attendees, and over 90 companies. The high-level ministers and industry leaders across the Caribbean region and beyond were present.
