St. Kitts and Nevis’ Resident Ambassador in Taiwan, Donya Francis participated in the 2026 Taiwan Kids Festival. The event was hosted on Saturday, August 15, 2026 and was hosted by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA). TAITRA is Taiwan’s foremost nonprofit trade promotion organization.
The event featured a number of activities centered around children of Taiwan. The participation of the St Kitts and Nevis Resident Ambassador highlights the deep and enduring ties of the two nations.
The Embassy of St Kitts and Nevis in Taiwan has shared several images from the event highlighting the ambassador’s visit. The organisation has also shared that the event brings people of the communities across Taiwan together.
The officials have shared that it is important for them to celebrate the people of the island, especially the children. According to the organisers, The Taiwan Kids Festival is a part of TAITRA’s annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The organisation has been working diligently to bring joy to thousands of children from remote communities. The festival also brings together underprivileged households, and immigrant families across Taiwan.
The festival was described as a weekend of fun and meaningful activities which will help in improving the situation.
Ambassador Francis joined James Huang Chairman of TAITRA for the weekend of festivities. Also in attendance at the event were, Lily Faavae, Ambassador of Tuvalu, Chang De Ming, Chairperson of the Andrew Charity Association; the Deputy Representative of the Hungarian Trade Office
The event was also attended by several volunteers who helped in packing thousands of care boxes for distribution to families across Taiwan.
The Embassy of St. Kitts and Nevis said that they were delighted to support initiatives that promote community service, inclusion, and the well-being of children and families throughout Taiwan. The embassy has reaffirmed their dedication as partners and long time diplomatic allies to support Taiwan through such events.
