St. Kitts and Nevis is ready to participate in the Association of National Olympic Committees of the ANOCES Athletics Championship. The St. Kitts and Nevis Athletics Association  has announced the list of the players and team for the upcoming championship. The event is all set to take place from Saturday July 4 to Sunday July 5, 2026.

The championship will be held at Kim Collins Stadium, in the Bird Rock area of Basseterre. The tournament will start at 2:00pm on Saturday and 3:00 pm on Sunday. The standard tickets for the event are priced at $25.00 KCP. For ground admission ticket prices are classified in two groups for adults $10.00 and for children $5.00.

The Association of National Olympic Committees of the ANOCES will be contested by athletes from 9 countries including Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, British Virgin Islands, Saint Lucia, Montserrat, Grenada, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and St. Kitts and Nevis.

The St. Kitts and Nevis athletics Federation shared that the selection of the athletes was based on their performance throughout the season. The association also mentioned that the St. Kitts and Nevis team is a combination of experienced and young players.

They said, “The team features a talented mix of experienced athletes and emerging stars”.

The men’s team consist of:

100m- Shamarie Newton, Chesson Liburd

200m- D’Atrayel Stanley

400m- Niran Warde, Jaylen Bennett

800m- Kymarni Newton, Alexander Caines

1500m- Najeeb Kelly

400m Hurdles- Akanye Samuel-Francis, Niran Warde

Javelin- Abijah Nemdhari

Men 4x100m Relay Poo : Chesson Liburd, D’Atrayel Stanley, Royden Peet, Shamarie Newton, Jaylen Bennett and Niran Warde

The women’s team consist of

100m- Shenel Crooke, Khylinn Prentice

200m- De’Cheynelle Thomas, Khylinn Prentice

400m- Kaliyah Jones, De’Cheynelle Thomas

100m Hurdles- Ta-Junique Huggins

1500m- Jonnicia Williams

800m- Jonnicia Williams

High Jump- Kya Crooke

Notably, the St. Kitts and Nevis Athletics Associations also congratulated the players for representing the federation in the upcoming championships.
