Nevis Culturama 52 officially hosted their Sashing Ceremony on Sunday 7, June 2026. The ceremony introduced the contestants and shashed them for the Mr Kool Competition, Miss Culture Swimwear Contest, and Miss Culture Queen Pageant to the public of Nevis.

The Sashing Ceremony highlights the official start of the Cutlurama glory. In the Ceremony the participants received their sashes and sponsors acquired the representatives and ambassadors to represent their organisation in the Culturama 52 festival. Officials shared that the ceremony reflects the strong relationship between the Nevis’ premier cultural festival and the private sector.

According to officials, the Sashing Ceremony was a celebration of culture and community. The Culturama 52 officials also appreciated the efforts of all sponsors for their investments in Nevis’s young participants. The officials also thanked all the sponsors for working alongside the government in promoting and preserving Nevisian Culture. The organization said, “Thank you to our sponsors for supporting our young people and ensuring Nevisian heritage thrives”.

The Miss Culture Swimwear contestants names are:

1. Kadijah Mulley, sponsored by Caribbean Digital Displays

2. Thia Claxton, sponsored by Nevis Solid Waste Management Authority

3. Carlisa Pluck, sponsored by Hinds Electrical Equipment Services

4. Kianna Nicholas, sponsored by Nevis Housing and Land Development Corporation

5. Ester Gomez, sponsored by Queen City Bar and Garden

The Mr. Kool contestants names are:

1. Devaughn Browne, sponsored by Nevisian Heritage Village

2. Orzel Webbe, sponsored by Bank of Nevis

3. David Morgan, sponsored by Zanzi Bar Nevis

4. Degan Elliott, sponsored by Nevis Tourism Authority

The Miss Culture Queen contestants names are:

1. Celo Fahie, sponsored by Carib Brewery SKN Ltd

2. Jareecia Brown, sponsored by St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank

3. Calida Smithen, sponsored by S.L. Horsford’s

4. Tarihanna Maynard, sponsored by Development Bank of St. Kitts and Nevis

5. Mia Alexander, sponsored by Caribbean Lottery

 

Additionally, for this year the Culturama 52 festival is scheduled to take place from 23 July to 4 August, 2026 at Cultural Village in Charlestown.
