The 11th edition of the Nevis Mango festival, which took place over the first weekend of July attracted hundreds of guests and food enthusiasts to the shores of Nevis. The attendants were treated to over forty varieties of Mangoes which are exclusive to Nevis.

The four-day Mango Festival was hailed a massive success by the Nevis Island Administration. The Nevis government has claimed that this year the Nevis Mango Festival Drew a massive crowd of 4,173 people. This is a notable increase when comparing the numbers to the previous year, when the festival had 2,536 attendants.

This increase in arrival translates to roughly 65% which is tremendous both in terms of the relevance and popularity of the annual mango festival. For the last eleven years, Nevis Mango Festival has been one of the most anticipated food themed event in the Caribbean.

The officials have shared that they are delighted to see that the rise in the numbers. The officials have shared that the Nevis Mango Festival was an economic success and brought a lot of attention upon the island.

The Premier of Nevis has approved this claim to success in his recent media interaction and reported that 3,800 tickets were sold for the festival. The Premier has confirmed that these are not rumours but hard truth.

The Premier of Nevis, Mark Brantley is also serving as the Minister of Tourism for the Nevis Island Administration. He was proud to announce that the local culinary event has been a major attraction for the people from all over the region and the world.

This year, the event featured approximately 50 Nevisian chefs who have used their creativity and talent to create different mango themed dishes and drinks. The talent of these talented local chefs was appreciated by the attendants of the event.

The premier of Nevis said that he is looking forward to next year’s staging of the Nevis Mango festival. The NIA, which was one of the main sponsors of the Nevis based food festival is happy with the response that the food themed festival has recieved from the world.
