The ‘Clean A Mile’ campaign will feature bi-monthly cleanup events where the participating individual, organizations, etc., will collaborate to clean appointed areas across the island.

The inauguration of the cleanup event is scheduled for Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lower Cayon. The event will be planned every month, including the next planned on September 28, 2024.

The government mentioned that this initiative is more than just cleaning a distance, it is also about commitment, effort, and impact that it will create. This campaign aims to make miles of progress in the attitudes, behaviours, and community spirit.

SWMC appeals the citizens and organizations to participate as it would help them create a healthier environment across the country. The participants will also have the opportunity to buy ‘Clean A Mile’ shirts printed with the campaign logo.
