Samal Duggis, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Marine Resources, Entrepreneurship, Creative Economies and Cooperatives, took to social media and announced that St. Kitts and Nevis has soared to a remarkable 73.8% compliance with the UNESCO Convention Against Doping in Sport.

Minister Samal Duggis highlighted that St Kitts and Nevis now leads the way in clean sports compliance within the OEC.

About two years ago, in St. Kitts and Nevis, sports were at a non-compliant state of 33%. By 2024, the SKN ministry has managed to successfully enhance compliance to the current level of 73.8%, demonstrating significant progress since taking office.

Minister Samal Duggis not that this phenomenal increase is not just a leap in numbers; it’s a narrative of transformation in SKN.

The government’s commitment to integrity in sports, coupled with the significant strides made in revamping the sports governance, instilling a culture where clean sport is paramount, and ensuring accountability, has brought about this remarkable shift.

Minister Samal Duggis highlighted that the transformative journey could not have been possible without the rigorous efforts of the athletes and the hard work of the Department of Sports.

“Let’s continue this trajectory of success! May we also remember that our size doesn’t limit us; it only propels us towards greatness! Here’s to St. Kitts and Nevis: Clean Sports Compliance Leader in the OECS, “noted Minister Samal Duggis.
