8 young ladies from across St Kitts and Nevis will be competing in the 2023 Miss Teen St Kitts and Nevis Pageant as part of Sugarmass 52 on December 19th.
The six contestants vying for the Teen Ambassador titles are:
Avonnie Wyatt
Avonnie Wyatt is a 15-year-old from the pristine and tranquil island of St Kitts. She is currently pursuing her grade 10 at Immaculate Conception Catholic School.
She has been describe as someone who loves dancing, athletics, and modelling. Her love for track and dance has afforded her the opportunity to be a star athlete at her school.
Apart from her academics, Avonnie is an active member of the LEAP SKN Advanced Teens Group, which is a definite indication that she is fascinated by the love for the arts and stage.
She aspires to become a Gynaecologist, a noble profession focused on women’s health. Her motto is “Nothing worth having comes easy,“
Destiny Huggins
Destiny Huggins is an ambitious, generous and thoughtfulness young lady. She was raised in the community of Sandy Point.
She is a fifth-form student at the Charles E. Mills Secondary School. Looking at her past achievements, she once served as a Vice President of the Student Council after running with the Better Future For You (BFFY) party.
Just like any other teenager, Destiny Huggins has different hobbies, such as singing, listening to music and watching movies are her favourites.
William Butler saves as her inspiration, and she was inspired to adopt “In dreams begins responsibilities” as her motto.
Cyanna Johnson
Cyanna Johnson is a seventeen-year-old, first-year student at Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College; Her future aspiration is to become an attorney.
Her passion lies in advocating for those unjustly incarcerated or who do not have suitable legal representation. She desires to establish her law firm, as her goal is to become an independent and successful woman within her community.
Her hobbies include
- Modelling,
- dramatizing,
- practising cosmetology, and, most importantly, spending time with her loved ones.
Her motto is “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Shante Hendrickson
Shante Hendrickson is a young star who hails from the Virgo Nation of Nevis. She was born on September 19th, 2006. she is representing the Nevis Sixth Form College.
Shante debuted in the pageant world in 2015 with her participation and capturing of the Ms. Gingerette title.
She earned herself three crowns during her tenure, which, by the way, is still ongoing, as she will be defending her title at the Junior Calypso show in December 2023.
The young star loves to engage herself in dancing, singing, track and field, netball, and stage plays.
Kaitlynn Wilson
Kaitlynn is a Form 4 student at Basseterre High School. She is currently 14 years old.
In 2022, Kaitlynn travelled to Texas for training with the Texas Circus and Aerial, mastering the trapeze and perfecting intricate moves on the aerial hoop.
Outside of her passion for the arts, Kaitlynn dedicates her time to the Kids Club, visiting children’s homes and organizing engaging activities for the community’s younger members.
Her motto is “God is within her; she will not fail.”
Victoria Eloi
Victoria Eloi representing Saddlers Secondary School.
She is a 14-year-old student who is described as an ambitious, talented young lady.
Eloi believes that education is the driving force to a successful life. Her short-term goal is to become an entrepreneur by Fourth Form, with the sole purpose of helping persons practice proper skincare and hair treatments.
Her future aspiration is to become a Cosmetic Chemist.
Her motto is “If you want to achieve something, see it, believe it, then be it.”
Taiyonce Liburd.
Taiyonce “Star” Liburd is a young lady who hails from the community of Old Road. She’s a fifth-form student from Verchild’s High School. Her favourite subject is theatre Arts.
Her motto is, ‘‘When life gets hard, push through its obstacles.”
Tiaunna Warner
Tiaunna Warne is a 15-year-old student at Washington Archibald High School. She hails from Saint Peters.
Her passion for performing arts blossomed first as a dancer and then as a youth calypsonian. In her first attempt as a calypsonian, she placed 1st runner-up in the 2017 – 2018 National Carnival Primary Junior Calypso Show and was crowned the following year.
Tiaunna Warner also ventured into some aspects of dance and has honed her artistic skills through the SKN Majorettes.
