St Kitts and Nevis Leaders congratulate Talented Teen Pageant winners, PC: Facebook, SKNNCC

Recently, St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee concluded the Republic Bank Talented Teen Pageant with a flourish. The winners of the Talented Teen Pageant were declared in the early hours of Wednesday, December 21, 2022.

The political leaders of St Kitts and Nevis, including Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew, Deputy Prime Minister Dr Geoffrey Hanley, Senior Minister of the SKNLP, Dr Denzil Douglas and Minister responsible for the National Carnival, Samal Duggins, among others, congratulated the winning teens of the Republic Bank Talented Teen Pageant.

St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee hosted the Pageant as part of the National Carnival Sugar Mas 51 on December 20, 2022. The event was hosted at the St Kitts Marriott Resort.

The Republic Bank Talented Teen Title winner, Takyla Hart-Johnson, hailed from Verchilds High School.

Her first runner-up, Cajoy Isaac, hailed from Washington Archibald High School.

Second Runner Up, Maleah Erskine, came from Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College,

Finally, Third Runner Up Makaila Martin was Miss Immaculate Conception Catholic School

Deputy Prime Minister, while congratulating the winners, expressed that he was blown away by the talent, creativity and Intelligence exhibited by all the contestants of the Pageant.

Dr Denzil Douglas expressed in his congratulatory message that the contestants of the Talented Teen Pageant took pageantry a notch higher. He further said there is no doubt (in his mind) that they will accomplish great things in the future.

He hailed the Organizers, Chaperones, Schools, Ambassadors and Parents involved in the Pageant’s success.

Meanwhile, The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, also praised the event organizers while congratulating the teens for their success at the Pageant. At the same time, he expressed that All ladies showcased their talent and bravery last evening at what was considered a historical Talented Teen Pageant.

The Minister of Creative Economy, Samal Duggins, congratulated the winner for bringing the title to Verchilds High School. It is the minister’s alma mater.

He further expressed that he wishes to commend the runners-up and other participants, whose grace and talent captured our Federation’s hearts so much that nationals and visitors came out in record numbers to witness the greatness of the pageant.
