The Organization of Eastern Caribbean States is celebrating 42 years of operating for the benefit of the Eastern Caribbean nations. The governments of all the countries of the Eastern Caribbean come together to work for the integration of the in the Eastern Caribbean. The OECS consists of eleven members island states.
The Founding members of the OECS are: Antigua and Barbuda, Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines and the other associate members are: Anguilla, The British Virgin Islands, Martinique and Guadeloupe. All these member states will take an equal part in celebrating the 42nd year of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States.
The events that the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States will host to celebrate their 42nd anniversary are scheduled throughout July. The Organization of Eastern Caribbean States has already started the preperation for these events.
Accordingly, the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States has shared the schedule for some activities that will take place in June 2023. The celebratory events will be scattered across the month. The program for the events goes as follows:
- Tuesday, June 13 to Friday, June 16
- OECS in the Classroom – School Tour | The event will be hosted for the Founding member state, St Kitts and Nevis
- Wednesday, June 14
- Launch of OECS Day Poll via U-Report | All Member States will participate in this celebratory event.
- Friday, June 16
- OECS Colours Day | All Member States will participate in the
- Saturday, June 17
- OECS Fun Walk | St Kitts and Nevis is hosting the event
- Sunday, June 18
- Opening Ceremony for the 73rd Meeting of the OECS Authority | Saint Kitts and Nevis
- Sunday, June 18 and Monday, June 19
- 73rd Meeting of the OECS Authority | The event will be held in St Kitts and Nevis
- Sunday, June 25
- Thanksgiving Service | The Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Babonneau Saint Lucia
