Workaholics Actor Waymond Lee dies at 72, leaving fans shocked and sad

American actor Waymond Lee died at the age of 72 on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 after he faced complications from ALS disease. 

Reportedly, the disease is a brain disorder that affects motor neurons in brain and spinal cord, leading to several other diseases like Dementia, or Pneumonia.

Lee was part of comedy sitcom, Workaholics and became a fan favourite after he appeared in more than half of the show, with great humor and comedy.

Diagnosis for ALS

The actor was first hospitalized in October this year, with a brain disorder which was later diagnosed as ALS disease.

Waymond Lee was hospitalized once again after he started having trouble breathing and died while his wife was by his side the entire time.

Reaction of his family and friends

His co-actor from Workaholics, Adam Devine, shared on Facebook a post, that the actor was a very kind person.

Devine also shared that the death of his co-actor hit him very hard and that the time he shared with Lee on the set of Workaholics was very special.

His wife and sister also spoke about him in an interview, calling Lee a very kind, soft-hearted, and an emotional person.

TV Sitcom Workaholics 

The comedy sitcom follows the story of a friend group with Peter Pan Syndrome, who worked together and lived together as well. 

The series had 7 seasons from 2011 till 2017 and was also Emmy – Nominated, with actors Adam Devine, Blake Anderson, and Anders Holm.
