Senator Troy Liburd, the minister responsible for the ministries of education, youth and sports, has extended his best wishes to the students of Nevis for a new term of school. The festive season in St Kitts and Nevis has concluded, paving the way for a new term of school.
The school’s new year and new term allow the children to grow and develop. Nevis Island Administration’s Minister of Education, Troy Liburd, took to his social media account on January 9, 2023, to wish the students all the best for the new school term.
Liburd noted that Today marks the start of Term 2 of the 2022-2023 academic year. The second term promises to be exciting and engaging. Minister Liburd pointed out that this is an opportunity for children to give their best and to improve where necessary.
Additionally, as the minister of Education, Troy Liburd extended his good wishes to all our school leaders, instructional and non-instructional staff, and students for a safe and productive term.
The tenure 2022-27 is Senator Liburd’s second consecutive term with the ministerial responsibility for education in NIA. Minister Liburd was entrusted with the ministerial responsibility for Education, Information Technology, Library Services, Youth and Sports at the swearing-in ceremony of the re-elected CCM Government on December 18.
Embracing his new responsibilities, Senator Liburd recently met and interacted with the staff and leadership of the departments he is responsible for.
Junior Minister Troy Liburd has repeatedly stated his commitment towards ensuring the betterment of the education and lifestyles of the people of Nevis, especially the students. In his former tenure as the minister of education, he secured several amenities for the students of Nevis. He has entered partnerships with NGOs and Foundations, like Windsong, to ensure gadgets and educational infrastructure for the students. These include Ipads, Laptops and other such devices for the students.
