The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew is making diligent efforts to promote the idea of good governance in the country. The prime Minister recently shared on his social media account that all the members of his administration have recently filed a declaration of their various Income, Assets, and Liabilities under the newly amended Integrity in Public Life Act.

The prime Minister announced they are committed to promoting transparency in the country’s administration. The Income, Assets, and Liabilities filing under the recently amended Integrity in Public Life Act took place on July 31. It falls directly in line with the government’s mandate to get the people of the country equally informed about their administrators.

Good governance and transparency are some of the most critical driving factors of the SKNLP Led administration. Accordingly, Dr Terrance Drew announced that his administration is the first in the history of the country to declare their incomes and assets et al, This is a demonstration of your government’s commitment to eliminate corruption in the country.

PM Dr Terrance drew announced that in the spirit of good governance agenda of his administration, Dr Drew announced that the All senior public officials within the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis are also required to file their declarations yearly. The mandate of good governance came into affect early in 2023.

The Prime Minister expressed his delight in the fact that they were less than a year into the administration when the change occured.

In line with this, Dr Terrance Drew announced that They were especially concerned with ensuring that the Public Sector machinery is founded on fundamental concepts such as citizen involvement, the rule of law, transparency, accountability, integrity, responsiveness, and the absence of corruption and wrongdoing.

He added that while his administration works to create a sustainable island state with a diverse economy that benefits EVERYONE,they have to advance further as a nation by removing corruption and its influence.

Dr Terrance Drew was applauded by all the people of his nation for taking a sincere step towards ensuring transparency in the country.
