St. Kitts: The 26th edition of St. Kitts Music Festival, scheduled from 27 to 29 June, 2024, showcased vibrant celebration of the Caribbean culture and music. The festival took place at the Warner Park Stadium in St. Kitts.

The Annual Music Festival kicked off on 27 June with rhythms and energetic performances. The opening night showcased an array of talented artists including Adam O, Pumpa, Mr Mention, T Bone, KT Dan. Kai U Sweet, and Nadia Batson.

Nadia Batson stood out with her exceptional performance that filled the attendees with excitement and energy. She commanded the stage all by herself, without any background dancers. Batson captivated the audience with her presence and vocal skills that raised the festivals’ energy to next level.

The other performers, Speedy and Itebulous got the audience grooving, while Kai U Sweet contributed to the musical tapestry of the evening.

The second day of the St. Kitts Music Festival saw bigger performances. The Small Axe Band, delivered a bigger and better jam session at the festival. The other performers included Busy Signal, Masicka, Asa Banton, Greenhouse Band and more.

On June 29, the St. Kitts Music Festival concluded with a soulful celebration leaving the audience in high spirits. The Nicholas Branacker Band was one of the evening’s highlights. Their live performance left the attendees in awe.

Freddie Jackson, a true music legend, made a return to the St. Kitts Music Festival. He performed at the very first festival, 25 years ago, and his presence then was both nostalgic and heartwarming. Now at the age of 65, his voice still fills the listeners with power. He delivered hits and B-sides with ease and his fans sang along with every word.

Mary J. Blige was the talk of the weekend, and she stood up on that. As her performance approached, the excitement in the stadium was a sight to see. Blige graced the stage with her unique presence.

It was Mary’s first appearance at the St. Kitts Music Festival and she did not disappoint. She also spoke about the beauty of island and endeared herself to the crowd.

The festival was also attended by the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew; His wife, Diani Jimesha Prince-Drew, and the Premier of Nevis, Mark Brantley. PM Drew and Mark Brantley shared glimpses of the event on their social medias.

In an interview, Prime Minister Terrance Drew emphasized the festival’s significance and stated that the St. Kitts Music Festival is of extremely high quality. He also underscores the island’s appeal.

“You come for music festival, but we encourage you to venture deeper. There’s so much about us and our country that one can experience,” Dr Drew appeals.

The energy in the Warner Park Stadium was truly electrifying. The audience was immersed in the musical journey. The artists ensured that the every day of the festival was remembered by all who attended.

The St. Kitts Music Festival has firmly established itself as one of the world’s exceptional music festivals, growing in stature each year.
