The Captivating island of St Kitts has been listed for four nominations at the 31st edition of the Annual World Travel Awards 2024. These sought-after nominations have placed the nation on the global stage and made it to vie for the highest honor in travel and tourism.
As per the information, The nominations have played a pivotal role in shaping the destiny and economy of this ideal destination.
These four travel category nominations are as follows:
- Caribbean’s Leading Tourist Board — St Kitts Tourism Authority
- Caribbean’s Leading Adventure Tourism Destination 2024 — St Kitts
- Caribbean’s Leading Cultural Destination 2024 — St Kitts
- Caribbean’s Leading Dive Destination 2024 — St Kitts
Dr Denzil Douglas- the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the former Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis and Dr Joyelle Clarke- the Minister of Sustainable Development, announced the information on his official Facebook on Monday (February 19).
He also appealed to the communities to vote for St Kitts and Nevis to contribute their efforts to shape the destiny of this ideal destination island. “Together, let’s catapult St. Kitts to the summit of success at the World Travel Awards 2024,” he further quoted.
Notably, joining the category of Caribbean’s Leading Adventure Tourism Destination 2024, Cuba, Dominica, St. Lucia, Dominican Republic, and Jamaica are also standing along with St Kitts. For the previous two years, Saint Lucia has been nominated under this category.
While in the category of Caribbean’s Leading Cultural Destination 2024, Barbados, Bermuda, Cuba, Jamaica, Martinique, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and are also recognized with St Kitts.
Moreover, in the Caribbean’s Leading Dive Destination 2024, the St Kitts has been seeking the awards for the past two consecutive awards.
This recognition is a testament to St. Kitts’ exceptional appeal, drawing attention to its adventure, cultural richness, and unparalleled diving experiences. The World Travel Awards represent the pinnacle of acknowledgment in the industry, and St. Kitts is poised to make its mark.
