Sri Lanka’s U19 Women’s team won by 81 runs against West Indies at ICC Women’s U19 World Cup at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on January 21, 2025.
Sri Lanka managed to win their first match against the host team, Malaysia by 139 runs on January 19, 2025, while the West Indies team has not managed to win a single match in this tournament till now.
Sri Lanka vs West Indies U19 Women match highlights
Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat first, scoring 166 runs in 20 overs. West Indies got bowled out by Sri Lanka at a score of just 85 runs.
Chamudi Praboda from Sri Lanka received the Player of the Match award for her outstanding bowling, as she secured 3 wickets at a cost of only 16 runs in 4 overs.

Sri Lanka reached 166 runs for the loss of 5 wickets, with Sanjana Kavindi making 38 runs (36 balls), Manudi Nanayakkara made 37 runs (31 balls), and Dahami Sanethma made 31 runs (25 balls).

West Indies batters included Samara Ramnath – 24 (23), Jahzara Claxton – 15 (9), and Kenika Cassar – 12 (11) who managed to score some good runs with other players having difficulty playing against Sri Lankan bowlers.
Sri Lankan Bowlers who took wickets were Chamodi Praboda (3 wickets), Aseni Thalagune (2 wickets), Limansa Thilakarathna (2 wickets), Pramudi Methsara (1 wicket), and Shashini Gimhani (1 wicket).
