Nevis: The 50th edition of the Nevis Culturama Festival culminated with huge celebration of Grand Street Parade and Last Lap through the streets of Charlestown on August 6, 2024. Notably, the results for Road March and Grand Parade have also been unveiled.
The streets of the sister island of Nevis have been full of celebrations and saw the conclusion of the 50th anniversary of grandeur of the Nevisian Culture Celebration.
Minister of Creative Economy, et al., Samal Duggins also attended the Grand Parade and took his Facebook to highlight the time he had. He further applauded the organisers and Minister Eric Evelyn for the dynamic festive atmosphere.
“Kudos to Minister Eric Evelyn and the Culturama 50 Committee for making it all possible,” Minister Duggins added.

Significantly, the announcement of the winners for the Road March and Grand Parade has made by the officials of the Nevis Culturama authority.
The results for the Culturama 50 Road March Contest are as follows:
The Kasonova Band took the crown with their unbeatable track “Legacy” scoring a massive 277 points.
The Top Contenders are:
- Kore Band with “Fresh” – 258 points
- Odisi Band with “Road Wuk Up” – 240 points
- Kore Band with “Bounce It & Shake It” – 235 points
- Odisi Band with “Big Drum Soca” – 229 points
- Kasonova Band with “Brown Sugar” – 222 points
- Ras Browne with “Look Back & Wuk Up” – 221 points
- Big 6 with “WOW” – 209 points
- Nu Wave Band with “Knock it” – 182 points
- Nu Wave Band with “Life” – 136 points
“A huge shoutout to all the bands for bringing the heat and making this an unforgettable competition,” mentioned the Culturama organisers while revealing the results.

The Grand Parade, the much-awaited event of the Culturama, was a spectacular showcase of vibrant colours, creativity, and cultural pride!
