Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, is attending the 77th United Nations General Assembly. He is accompanied by a delegation of ministers and civil servants who have been representing the federation on the international platform along with PM Dr Drew.

He is expected to stay in New York till September 26, 2022. So far, Dr Terrance Drew and his delegation of Ministers have represented the nation in a number of high-level events at the United Nations General Assembly. He has had the chance to meet with a number of world leaders. In the most recent update shared by the Prime Minister, he stated that the atmosphere at the general assembly has been very engaging in meeting leaders and other representatives from many countries around the world.

The Prime Minister and his delegation are making use of this opportunity to forge and further their national agenda and to collaborate with other countries to ensure that we push for peace and prosperity in this world.

The Prime Minister has taken to his Social Media Profile to share an update regarding his experience at the 77th United Nations General Assembly and expanded upon his experience at the various events. He wrote:

My presence at the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (being hosted in New York City, US), in representing St.Kitts-Nevis- along with my other colleagues, has been going quite well. The atmosphere has been very engaging in meeting leaders and other representatives from many countries around the world and using the opportunity to forge and push forward our national agenda and collaborate with other countries to ensure that we push for peace and prosperity in this world and so in terms of engagement, it’s going very well and in terms of pushing our positions forward, it is also going very well.

As a global community, indeed, we collectively experience various challenges, and therefore, togetherness is key to tackling such for the betterment of us all.

I am looking forward to making my presentation on behalf of our nation and people come Friday, September 23 2022.
