The Deputy Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Geoffrey Hanley took to his social media account to congratulate the winners of the recent edition of the Track and field Interschool championship. The competition featured contestants from several schools in St Kitts and Nevis. The Minister of education in the government of St Kitts and Nevis shared several glimpses of the event on his social media account.
The Deputy Prime Minister shared that It was a weekend of competitive athletics and sports Bacchanal at the Kim Collins Athletic Stadium. THe took the opportunity to assert that he was impressed by the school spirit and enthusiasm of all the participating schools and their supporters.
Dr Geoffrey Hanley shared that after the final medal count, the Charles E. Mills Secondary School (CEMSS) was declared the overall winner and they walked away as the winning school for the 27th time. Minister Hanley noted that this was indeed an impressive achievement!
He also added that the Charlestown Secondary School (CSS) showed strength and consistency throughout the championship and should be applauded for winning 2nd place, followed by a determined and spirited Basseterre High School (BHS), which placed 3rd.
Minister Geoffrey Hanley congratulated all the winners by sharing all the results on his social media account. At the same time, he asserted that congratulations are for all the participating schools whose athletes gave their best and represented their schools with distinction.
