The Deputy Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Geoffrey Hanley, who handles the responsibility for the ministry of education, recently attended the Laptop Handing over ceremony facilitated by the generous government of the Republic of China (Taiwan). The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his pride in providing the children with the necessary tools and pieces of equipment to assist them in their educational endeavours.
Minister of Education, Dr Hanley, noted that the government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) had been one of the most faithful partners in the social advancement of St Kitts and Nevis. The country and its people have assisted St Kitts and Nevis on many occasions in achieving their developmental goals.
Through the resident Ambassador of Taiwan to St Kitts and Nevis, the government of Taiwan has extended a helping hand towards their ally, St Kitts and Nevi. They have helped many students access quality education through their scholarship initiatives and donations.
The donation of laptops was one such instance. Accordingly, Deputy Prime Minister Dr Geoffrey Hanley says they are continuing on the path of meeting our sustainable development goals. He also added that they treasure the relationship with their Taiwanese friends. The donation of the laptops will facilitate the students of St Kitts and Nevis in their educational endeavours.
Accordingly, The Minister of Education wants to ensure our young people take advantage of these valuable educational tools. Dr Hanley said that the event is a proud moment to celebrate our young people and the teaching and learning tools St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party-led government is using to empower them.
