The handover took place on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
Various leaders who accompanied the Prime Minister, Dr Terrance Drew, at the 4-day state visit, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Denzil Douglas and The Premier of Nevis, Mark Brantley, have expressed their congratulations to the newly appointed Ambassador Francis.
Former Prime Minister, Senator Dr Joyelle Clark and the newly appointed Ambassador posed for a picture, which the team subsequently posted on the official Facebook page of Dr Denzil Douglas. The post featured a congratulatory message from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Douglas.
The post stated, on behalf of the Minister, that it must be a moment of pride for the member of the national assembly, representing constituency #6, to see one of his constituents climbing the high place of being appointed the Ambassador representing his home nation to the Republic of China (Taiwan).
In the image, which accompanied the post, Senator Dr Joyelle Clarke and Ambassador Donya Lynex Francis were posing with the Minister of Foreign Affairs. It is worth noting that all three individuals hail from a single constituency, St Pauls.

The video featured the new Ambassador Francis, “entertaining his audience with a musical show” According to Premier Brantley, he did it all in Mandarin.
