The Minister of Foreign Affairs in the government of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Denzil Douglas, took to his Facebook account to share his gratitude to the runner-up of the National Carnival Queen Kahnein Blanchette.
She travelled to Dominica to represent the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis at the 2022 edition of the Miss OECS Pageant. The pageant occurred on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Old Mill Cultural Center.
Former Prime Minister Denzil Douglas expressed that the nationals and residents of the Federation are proud of her.
The 2022 edition of the Miss OECS Pageant judges awarded Kahnein Blanchett the title Miss Photogenic. Dr Douglas took to his Facebook to share the update with the residents of the Federation. Here, he expressed the wish for Blanchette to continuously grace the international stage with confidence and poise, nationally, regionally and internationally.
In 2022, the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis has maintained an impressive and stellar record in pageant representations across the Caribbean region.
As per the reports from the news website “ZIZ online”, The participation of Kahnein Blanchette in the 2022 edition of the Miss OECS Pageant was sponsored by the National Carnival Committee of St Kitts and Nevis (SKNNCC).
The chairperson of the SKNNCC, Shannon Hawley, presented Blanchette with a cheque for sponsorship. According to Chairman Hawley, the SKNNCC needed to support Kahnein in her quest to be successful in the pageant.
The national carnival committee has vocally and visually supported the runner-up of the National Carnival Queen pageant. The committee has also expressed gratitude to Kahnein Blanchette through a Facebook post. The Facebook post said:
We are proud of Kahnein’s performance in the 2022 Miss OECS Pageant. She walked away with the award for Miss Photogenic.
Thank You, Kahnein, for so beautifully representing our Federation. You did well!
