Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis: Dr. Geoffrey Hanley, the Deputy Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis successfully hosted East Basseterre Belly Full take-a-way dinner for his constituency members. The dinner was hosted on Friday, 12th April 2024 and also included several discussions for the benefit and development of the nation.
Dr. Hanley shared glimpses of the dinner on his official Facebook account and expressed gratitude to all the cooks, servers, and transportation providers for their constant support in making the event successful. He also thanked the sponsors and patrons for believing in him and supporting him in organizing the event.
“To you, we say, “JOB WELL DONE,” noted Dr. Hanley. He also wished love and blessings to every person who played a crucial role in making the event not just successful but memorable for all the attendees.
Moreover, Dr. Hanley also discussed the menu for the event which was enjoyed by all the patrons. The menu, which was catered for everyone, included several delicious local items such as rice, chicken, fish, lobster, pork, soup, and the famous roasted pig to scalloped potato pie, macaroni pie, corn pie, pancakes, salad, seafood pasta, coleslaw, etc.
Along with that, the patrons were also served with local drinks which fosters the local taste and flavours such as mauby and fruit punch. They were also provided with “sweet treats” and delicious desserts which included chocolate cake and plain cake.
“Indeed, it was a sweet “BELLY FULL!!”, asserted Dr Geoffrey Hanley.
The members of the East Basseterre Labour Executive also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to every person who assisted in executing the event successfully.
Dr. Geoffrey Hanley also shared the words of the patrons who attended the event as they described it as “What a night! What a night! What a belly-full night.”
While recalling the event, Dr. Geoffrey Hanley stated that “the overwhelming turnout was very encouraging and at the same time, humbling.”
