The famous South Korean actress, Kim Sae-ron aged 24 was found dead at her home in Seoul on Sunday, February 16th, 2025. According to the police, her body was found by a friend she had planned to meet.
As per the police investigation, they said that the actress committed suicide as no signs of foul play were found on the scene. The investigations are still ongoing, as the police is trying to find any other evidence that might have led to her death.
Before the death of Kim Sae-ron, she was last seen by the public nearly two years ago, following a drunk driving conviction, after that she disappeared and made no public appearance.
According to media reports, her friend, who discovered her body, said that Kim Sae-ron was planning a comeback to the industry with the film, The Guitar Man. The acquaintance also said that the actress was planning to open her own cafe while entertaining her fans through her films.

Kim Sae-ron was a South Korean Actress who started her career in 2001 as a child model. At the age of nine she landed her first role in films, and made her fanbase with her debut movie – A Brand New Life in 2009.
Later in life she also acted in several television series, including Listen to My Heart (2011), The Queen’s Classroom (2013), and Hi! School: Love On (2014). Sae-ron performed her first adult lead role in the television drama Secret Healer (2016).
Her role in the hit Netflix drama, Bloodhounds, was her last acting project before her disappearance from the acting industry.

Many Korean celebrities have paid tribute to the young actress, following the news of her death. Actor Kim Ok-bin wrote on his Instagram account, “May you rest in peace”.
Actor Kim Min-che shared a photo of a scene from ‘The Neighbors’ and said that he was glad to meet Sae-ron as her daughter in the movie.
