Following the successful completion of General Elections in St Kitts and Nevis, on August 5, 2022, United States Secretary of State in the Joe Biden Government, Antony Blinken, took to his Twitter account to congratulate Dr Terrance Drew on his election as the Fourth prime minister of St Kitts and Nevis.
“Congratulations to PM-elect the Honourable Dr Terrance Drew and the people of Saint Kitts and Nevis for reaffirming the strength of their democracy through their recent elections. We look forward to continuing our strong partnership to build a more prosperous, secure hemisphere,” Tweeted Blinken.
U.S. Ambassador Brian A Nichols, Assistant Secretary for Western Hemisphere Affairs in the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C., also found time on her schedule to congratulate the new St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister.
“Congratulations to the Honorable Dr Terrance Drew on his victory as Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis. Together we’ve strengthened public health, education, and security for our countries, and we look forward to a brighter future for our people and the Caribbean,” U.S. Ambassador Brian A Nichols wrote on his Twitter account on Sunday morning.
Nichols posted a photo of Dr Drew at Saturday’s Swearing-in ceremony at Government House.
In their congratulatory message, the United Embassy in Bridgetown, Barbados, tweeted a message of Congratulations to Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew and his government. They stated that the United Embassy in Bridgetown looks forward to working with the new government administration, enjoying the trust and mutual respect that has been the root of the relationship between the two countries.
Further, the United Embassy in Bridgetown, Barbados, added that the institution commends all Kittisians and Nevisians who participated peacefully in the elections on Friday, August 5. They assured that The U.S is committed to working with Saint Kitts and Nevis towards a more secure and prosperous future.
