Met Offices from across the Caribbean have received the advisory for the coming of tropical storm Bret. In line with this, many regional and international airlines have issued travel advisories and restrictions. The authorities put these restrictions in place to protect the community’s people from the untoward effects of the tropical storm.
Accordingly, Caribbean-based airline, Liat has shared that the flight schedule for Thursday, June 22 and Friday, June 23, will be affected due to the impending passage of the tropical storm. The airline added that they are waiting on the impending watches and warnings to create a better schedule for the tropical storm.
The airlines will share the revised schedule for the air travel and movement of the flight as per the impending warnings and watches that the government issues. They added that they would share the list of affected services on June 21. The team of the airline officials have requested that the passengers must check their inboxes for mails and information.
In this regard, the information will also be shared on the official social media pages of the various Caribbean Airlines. Liat Airlines have claimed that Passengers who have been affected due to the impending the will be allowed to rebook with all change fees waived.
The approaching of tropical storm Bret has emerged as a difficult time for travellers in the Caribbean. In line with this, passengers who decide to travel but cannot complete their journey due to disruption caused by weather conditions will not be provided with meals, transportation, hotel accommodation etc.
Meanwhile, all the airlines have advised all the Passengers with onward connections to contact the respective regional and international carriers. Additionally, the airline, LIAT, has expressed their deepest regret to the people for any inconvenience caused by these cancellations due to the passage of the impending tropical storm.
