The National Assembly of St Kitts and Nevis, Under the leadership of Dr Terrance Drew, has endorsed the participation of their oldest ally and supporter, The Republic of China (Taiwan), in international organizations. The government of Taiwan has been an indispensable ally of St Kitts and Nevis since before the country gained their independence from British rule in 1983. The two nations enjoy a deep-rooted and long relationship with one another.
Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Drew and his government understand the significance of their alliance with the Republic of China (Taiwan). Accordingly, they have publically endorsed the support of the country’s participation in several international events.
The government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) has expressed their profound gratitude to the Terrance Drew-led National Assembly for endorsing their participation in international events, such as the meetings of the United Nations (UN), World Health Organization WHO UNFCCC, the Criminal Police International Organization (INTERPOL) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)
Dr Terrance Drew, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, believes that the Republic of China has played a crucial role in advancing global public health, fighting climate change, and dealing with the transnational crime. Accordingly, the government passed a motion in the most recent sitting of the National Assembly, signifying their support to their allies representing themselves at the international platforms of the United Nations, INTERPOL, World Health Organization and other organizations.
The embassy of Taiwan communicated with government of St Kitts and Nevis, led by Prime Minster Dr Terrance Drew after the National Assembly sitting. They extended their gratitude to the government of St Kitts and Nevis, for their support. At the same time, the embassy asserted that the government of Taiwan is eager to foster closer and more co-operative relationship with their long time friends and allies.
Taiwan called themselves a force for good and asserted that they strive to safeguard peace and stability, and firmly upholds freedom and democracy in the world. Meanwhile, they have thanked the support that they recieved from their friends and allies on the world stage.
