The Public Works Department (PWD) of St Kitts released an official notice about survey conducting for the properties within 100 ft of St. Peters Main Road and FT Williams Highway East.

According to the notice, this survey will be effective over the next few weeks. The Department has instructed the communities to cooperate with them and let them undertake this operation.

“Please be informed that the Public Works Department will conduct a property condition survey over the next few weeks for the properties within 100 ft of St. Peters Main Road and FT Williams Highway East,” it added.

The survey aims to assess the condition of the properties before any demolition work begins on the road rehabilitation project. During the process, The survey team will carry out identification and follow all safety protocols.

Further, the Department appealed to the communities for the effective conduction of this proposed move. They noted, “We kindly request your cooperation in allowing our survey team to access your property to conduct the survey. The survey team will carry out identification and follow all safety protocols.”

Earlier in August 2023, Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew shared this significant initiative to enhance the community infrastructure.

He informed me that the Rehabilitation of St Peter’s Main Road and F.T Williams Highway East will be initiated shortly. He informed that this ambitious project involves resurfacing the road from the R. L. Bradshaw International Airport roundabout along the F.T. Williams Highway.

“Personally, I promised the people that we would take swift action on this project once elected. True to our word, we’re not only stepping up to the challenge but actively making headway to fulfil this promise. The road to progress is now being paved in a tangible manner for all those in this region,” he added.

However, this new project commencement was initiated earlier in August 2023. The Ministry of Public Infrastructure and the Public Works Department made effective progress towards commencing work on this Rehabilitation.
