St Kitts and Nevis: The Citizenship by Investment Unit of St. Kitts and Nevis has launched an affordable housing initiative to construct 100-150 new homes in partnership. The initiative was launched in partnership with global business consultant firm ClientReferrals, aiming to provide accessible home ownership in the country.
The houses will be constructed under a carefully structured development model which will be funded by the Citizenship by Investment (CBI) Programme. The initiative is a part of the framework which is crafted by the government to support the national development and community-focused projects under the Public Benefit Option (PBO) of the CBI.
As per the unit, the project is committed to enhance the growth of St Kitts and Nevis with the help of the CBI funds so that it could contribute to national development. The project will be led by ClientReferrals who is a long-time trusted partner of the CIU.
Project to deliver 100 homes
Under the project, around 150 homes will be constructed over a period of 12 to 16 months to enhance the national development of St Kitts and Nevis. The construction of the houses will take place on land owned by the National Housing Corporation (NHC). The houses will be handed over on the basis of the low-to-middle income families with the help of the multi-phase approach.
The project is aimed at directly benefiting the people of St Kitts and Nevis under the Citizenship by Investment (CBI) Programme. According to the CIU, a range of financing options will be made available to make home-ownership accessible to those at the lower end of the income spectrum. The initiative will address the critical need of the infrastructure and provide tangible support in nation-building.
The CIU noted that this project is aligned with the aim of the government to improve living standards, expand opportunities and promote inclusive growth of St Kitts and Nevis.
Executive Chairman of the CIU, Calvin St. Juste also talked about the project and added that the initiative will not only strengthen the integrity of the CBI Programme, but also helps in delivering meaningful outcomes for the communities of St Kitts and Nevis.
“The CIU is committed to working with partners who demonstrate proven results and a shared dedication to the prosperity and quality of life of all citizens of St. Kitts and Nevis. The initiative embodies the next phase of our development, not only in strengthening the Citizenship by Investment Programme, but in ensuring it continues to deliver meaningful outcomes for our communities” – CIU Executive Chairman H.E Calvin St. Juste.
Patrick Peters, CEO of ClientReferrals also expressed excitement about the collaboration and added that the project is aligned with the firm’s driving principle of creating win-win programmes in the investment migration industry.
“This is a win for the people of St. Kitts & Nevis, the CBI applicants, and their immigration professionals. Providing affordable housing will have a real and immediate positive impact on the people of St. Kitts & Nevis. The applicants have a safe & clear path to Citizenship, and can see the immediate impact from their contribution. And immigration professionals can feel confident their VIP clients are receiving the best service. We have successfully promoted the Sustainable Island State Contribution and Sustainable Growth Fund programmes for many years and this PBO was the logical next step in our partnership” – Patrick Peters, ClientReferrals CEO
The launch of the housing project is viewed as the chance to enhance the national development goals, aiming to support infrastructure and national development.
