Micheal Martin, the head of the Citizenship By Investment Unit of St Kitts and Nevis, represented the country at a conference in London, where he interacted with the investors and high-net-worth individuals to promote the Citizenship By Investment Programme of the country and attract increased investment by positioning themselves as an investment-friendly destination.

The initiative taken by the government of St Kitts and Nevis during their trip to London falls directly in line with their commitment to introduce the country and its people to sustainable growth. Several agencies within the federation are diligently involved in ensuring they can easily navigate the path of sustainable development.

The Citizenship by Investment Programme of St Kitts and Nevis is an important part of the economic development of St Kitts and Nevis. The programme largely contributes to the economic diversification of the country. Accordingly, the CIU has introduced several upgrades to the programme, aiming to make it the best in the country.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Citizenship by Investment Unit, Michael Martin, informed the event’s attendants, including several members of the private wealth community, that the Citizenship Programme of St Kitts and Nevis had remained a pioneer in the Investor migration industry for nearly 40 years.

He asserted that while the world is changing rapidly, the Citizenship by Investment Programme of St Kitts and Nevis will also need to change to adapt to the needs of the investors. He noted that the government seeks to attract the right kind of investment to use them for the country’s development. Meanwhile, the CIU Head assured the attendants that the programme continues to benefit the investors even through the upgrades and evolutions the government introduced over the years.

He clarified that being a part of the Citizenship by Investment Programme of St Kitts and Nevis continues to give the said investors a chance to operate their business from anywhere in the world, and more importantly, they are given a choice to live their life in the safe and stable environment offered by the twin-island federation.

At the same time, Micheal Martin asserted that the benefits of the programme extend not only to the investors seeking to protect and expand their wealth but also to the locals of St Kitts and Nevis. The investment that comes into the country through the Citizenship by Investment Programme assists the locals in strengthening their businesses. In turn, this enables the citizens to flourish even through global uncertainty.

The Government of St Kitts and Nevis is working relentlessly to strengthen its economy, and the evolution of the Citizenship by Investment Programme aligns with that mandate. The Sustainable Growth Fund, one of the investment options for the applicants hoping to become a part of the country, was also established in line with the government’s mandate to ensure economic and social development.

The government utilises the investment coming into the country through the sustainable growth fund in developmental initiatives for the education and healthcare sectors. The Sustainable Growth Fund also supports infrastructure construction, local tourism, and the preservation of St Kitts and Nevis’s local culture and heritage.

Recently, the government introduced some enhancements to the sustainable growth fund, which would boost the demand for the Citizenship by Investment Programme. The government has introduced a limited-time offer, applicable for six months, starting from January 1, 2023, to June 31, 2023. If an applicant submits his application under the Limited Time Offer (LTO), such an application can access accelerated processing time. The processing time has shortened from 90 to 60 days from the date of acknowledgement from CIU. The investors also benefit from lower minimum investment for applicants seeking to get citizenship under the sustainable growth fund.

Since the CBI Programme plays a crucial role in the development of the economy of the country, it can expertly provide investors with an accurate description of the economy to foreign investors. The country boasts of having a stellar reputation in its migration investment programme. The country has a pro-business environment, well-developed financial, manufacturing and tourism sectors and a well-regulated programme, which is an ideal option for investors looking to expand their businesses or diversify their wealth.
