The St Kitts and Nevis Bureau of Standards (SKNBS) will be hosting a workshop aimed at strengthening national quality infrastructure on March 13, 2025. In partnership with the Development of the National Standardization Strategies (NSS),the workshop is being held at St Kitts Marriott Resort.
The session will be held with the theme ‘Building Awareness, Confirming Research Findings, and Setting Standards Priorities’.
It is an initiative under the ACP QI Programme, a partnership between the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), Regional Organizations for Standards and Quality (CROSQ), and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
Participation of the stakeholders is important in ensuring the alignment of the national strategies with the priorities and support of local industries of St Kitts and Nevis.
ACP QI Programme
The ACP QI Programme is funded by the European Union (EU) and aims to improve infrastructure quality across the Caribbean by enhancing regional quality and regulatory infrastructure governance.
Furthermore, the programme will strengthen value chain-specific quality infrastructure services, promote a culture of quality and best practices, and advance the business environment for investments through quality systems and conformity assessment.

The workshop allows participants to comprehend the goals of the ACP QI Programme by facilitating their evaluation and validation of research outcomes with their experience and knowledge.
In addition, the event will serve as an opportunity to determine and set priorities of St Kitts and Nevis within the context of its development and economic requirements.

The workshop promoted cooperation and joint responsibility in the creation and execution of nationals standards from both industry and government partners.
