St. Kitts and Nevis: Minister of Sports Samal Duggins declared the opening of the First Federal Cooperative Credit Union Local Netball League 2024 on July 16, 2024.

The announcement of the inauguration was made by Minister Samal Duggins through his official Facebook account and he expressed how delighted he was to launch the First Local Netball League.

“Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of declaring open the First Federal Cooperative Credit Union Local Netball League 2024,” noted the Minister of Sports.

He stated that it was very astonishing to see all the participating teams dressed so well in their respective uniforms, showcasing their dedication and spirit. This also represents their respect towards the game.

Minister Duggins also grabbed the opportunity to wish the teams of the First Netball League 2024. The teams he wished are as follows:

  • STUDY IT EENT. ACES NETBALL CLUB
  • SUN ISLAND CLOTHING AQUA BALLERZ
  • CAYON PACERS NETBALL CLUB
  • KOSCAB COCA COLA SHAMROCK
  • NEWTON NEETBALL CLUB

While wishing the teams for their game, Samal Duggins said that he wishes that the league beings out the best in all the participants.

“May the best team win and may this league bring out the best in each player while fostering a spirit of unity and sportsmanship,” he remarked.

He also applauded the St. Kitts and Nevis Netball Association for their consistent efforts to keep the game going as it is one of the only sports played by females in St. Kitts and Nevis. Their spirit and steadfast commitment has also been underscored by the Sports Minister.

“Kudos to the SKNNA for their continued efforts in keeping netball alive, as it is one of the few sports predominantly played by females in our twin-island federation. Your hard work and commitment are truly commendable,” Minister of Sports Samal Duggins highlighted.
