The Deputy Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis and Deputy Leader of the St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP), Dr Geoffrey Hanley, joined the Prime Minister and other comrades of the St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party to celebrate Labour Day. The Labour Day celebration in St Kitts and Nevis featured several events, including the Labour Day Parade and The Labour Day Concert. During these celebrations, St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party members celebrated the country’s workers.
The political Party plays a significant role in the history of the country. Accordingly, the oldest labour-affiliated political Party takes their mandate for the welfare of the people very seriously. The Labour Day celebration on Monday, May 1, 2023, was the perfect opportunity for the St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) to reaffirm their commitment to the country’s people.
Accordingly, several St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party members took to their social media accounts to share some insights into the event with the people of St Kitts and Nevis. The Labour Day celebrations featured a lineup of events that started almost two weeks ago. These included Constituency meetings, interaction sessions, zonal meetings and more.
For the main event, SKNLP leaders, including Dr Geoffrey Hanley, Dr Terrance Drew, Samal Duggins and Denzil Douglas, shared glimpses from the parade event. The Parade served as an opportunity for the leaders to come together and celebrate the country’s workers and acknowledge their contribution to the nation’s development.
During the Labour Day Parade, the prominent leaders of the St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party interacted with the workers on various issues. Dr Terrance Drew reiterated his commitment to increasing the people’s minimum wage. Meanwhile, the Deputy Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Geoffrey Hanley shared some snippets of the unveiling of the project design for the Sir Robert L. Bradshaw Museum.
