Soufriere Comprehensive wins Inter Schools Under-15 Netball Festival Saint Lucia: The Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School won the Inter Schools Under-15 Netball Festival organised by the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports on November 18, 2022, at 10 am. The tournament took place at the Vigie Multi-Purpose Sports complex. The schools which participated in the Inter-schools U-15 Netball Festival were: Castries Comprehensive Soufriere Comprehensive St Joseph’s Convent Choiseul Secondary Beanefield Comprehensive Vieux Fort Comprehensive Leon Hess Comprehensive The results of the INTER SCHOOLS UNDER-15 NETBALL FESTIVAL are as follows: 1st place – Soufriere Comprehensive 2nd Place – Vieux Fort Comprehensive 3rd Place – Babonneau Secondary Most Valuable Player Awardees during this tournament were: Beanefield Comprehensive – Meayannie Raggie Soufriere Comprehensive- Sherise Joseph Choiseul Secondary – Monique Sonson St. Joseph’s Convent – Naija Ferdinand Castries Comprehensive- Jarnae Ford Leon Hess Comprehensive- Dhunya Jn.Baptiste Vieux Fort Comprehensive- Kayla Auguste Babonneau Secondary- Dala Dupres While expressing their happiness, Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School wrote on their official Facebook handle, “After a day that tested the strength, skill and endurance of the SCSS Under 15 Netball Team, the title of Champions belongs to these young queens of the game. In a specially formatted one-day netball tournament dubbed the “Under 15 Netball Festival”, Team SCSS has emerged as champions of Under 15 Netball in Saint Lucia.” The MVP of the tournament for Soufriere Comprehensive was Sherise Joseph, and remarkably the team won every game they played with dominating performances. This was an absolutely magnificent achievement. “The SCSS family is extremely proud of the young ladies and incredibly proud of the team coaches, Mrs Melita Hippolyte and Mrs Shenel Ferguson, who have sacrificed heavily for these students. Congratulations, Team SCSS,” added SCSS on its official Facebook. The SCSS also won the Inter-Schools Under 19 basketball tournament on the same day. The different tournaments were organised by Saint Lucia’s Ministry of Youth Development and Sports.
