Minister of Foreign Affairs of St Kitts and Nevis and parliamentary representative of Constituency #6, Dr Denzil Douglas has taken to his official Facebook account to congratulate the Saddlers Secondary school for securing second place in the high school chef competition.

Saddlers Secondary School winning team comprised two students, namely Shannyah Thomas and Alisha’Jalim. At the end of the Competition, the school managed to secure 147 points out of 157. They placed second in the overall Competition.

Their final platter consisted of the following dishes:

Creamy Passion
Fruit Pork Chop
Green Banana Pie
Cabbage Wrap
Fruity Pie
Cucumber Ginger Drink

Verchilds High School, represented by the students Janaya Gumbs and Ciara White, secured first place in the Competition after vowing the judges from the Competition.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Denzil Douglas, congratulated the school in his constituency. Further, The Minister also congratulated the teachers and coaches of the team, who assisted the students in securing success in the High School Chef Competition.

At the same time, Dr Douglas also congratulated the other winning schools. He wrote:

Congratulations to the Verchilds High School, WINNER (The school secured) 152 points.
Congratulations to the Washington Archibald High School, Third place (The school secured) 146 points. Congratulations All

The St Kitts Department of Youth Empowerment hosted the high school chef Competition. They also took to their social media profile to share the Competition results. They also extended gratitude to the competition sponsors.

The Ministry of Tourism sponsored the Competition. Additionally, the department also thanked the Ministry of Education.

The St Kitts Department of Youth Empowerment expressed gratitude to the Tapp Water Caribbean and Sandy Point Agriculture Cooperative for providing the provisions and seasonings and SOL for providing gas tanks. These departments assisted in the successful completion of the chef competition.
