Nevis: The Premier of Nevis, Mark Brantley announced the completion of the main road in Butler’s Village. The announcement was made through his official social media account on July 6, 2024.
The newly paved road aims to ease the passage of the residents of Nevis so that they can commute easily. The Premier extended his thanks to the Minister of Public Works, Spencer R Brand, and his team, including Director Jevon Williams, Danny Williams, and the entire paving team for the outstanding work.
Mark Brantley shared insights of the completed road and said, “To the good people of Butlers, your road is now complete.” He also thanked Minister Alexis Jeffers who envisioned to improve the entire stretch of road in Butlers Village.
He lauded that Jeffers had pushed hard to get the work done successfully. He also called on the people to remember Alexis when they drive on the brand-new road in Nevis.
Not only the makers of the road have been thanked by the Premier but the people of the village too. Brantley also thanked the people of Nevis as they have been patient with the administration.
He added that they hope the new road and overall improvements to properties along the road bring the citizens many years of smooth driving and enhance their property values. Along with that he appealed to the people to drive responsibly and to resist speeding as they roads are now wide and smooth.
Additionally Premier Brantley also took his Facebook to express how delighted he was to see the completion of this road project. He stated “I am so delighted to see the completion of this project. Let me thank the residents of Butlers for their cooperation and patience.”
He further extends gratitude to the partners Nevlec, Digicel, Flow, and the Nevis Water Department for the partnership with the Public Works Department in the execution of this project.
The Minister lastly called it a ‘long journey’ and thanked god that the team got it done while doing many other things and the Nevis Island Administration has been significantly working for the progress of the island.
