The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, recently took to his social media account to share a significant update regarding the development in the country’s health sector. Notably, the government under his leadership has successfully procured dialysis machines from Canada for the country’s healthcare institutions.
The Prime Minister is also handling the responsibility for the Ministry of Health. Accordingly, he is committed to the cause of introducing critical developments for the sector. The addition of dialysis machines at the country’s healthcare institutions falls directly in line with the commitment of the minister to improve upon the healthcare services of St Kitts and Nevis.
The Prime Minister shared some images of the equipment on her social media account. He shared his excitement about the development in the healthcare sector and shared that they will be receiving new dialysis machines from Canada shortly. The government has entered into a contract with various international agencies to get these pieces of equipment.
At the same time, Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew asserted that they are continuing to work assiduously within the Ministry of Health to transform the country’s healthcare sector. The St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party government team has made several efforts to procure critical equipment for the country’s medical industry.
Notably, Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew, a practising doctor, believes that the hospitals and medical centres of the country are facing a severe shortage of essential services, including dialysis machines, eye surgery equipment, and lab equipment. These services are necessary for maintaining the standard of the medical and healthcare sector of the country.
For the same reason, PM Dr Drew makes it his priority to visit the healthcare sectors of the country regularly. Social media users have also applauded the Prime Minister and his government for taking this significant step towards the country’s development. They stated that the country needs these types of equipment for the people.
